There are quite a few famous eats and drinks you should never miss on a Disneyland trip, and two of those items can be found at the Mint Julep Bar: Mickey Beignets and Mint Juleps. You can find the Mint Julep Bar in New Orleans Square, hidden behind the French Market Restaurant. If you have never been able to try a beignet (or know what it is), they’re fluffy, powdered sugar doughnuts originating from New Orleans. Mint Juleps are refreshing beverages flavored with mint and are customarily served with alcohol but the ones available at Disneyland (you can also find them at Blue Bayou) are non-alcoholic. My kids really enjoyed our afternoon snacks and now that they’re getting older, I need to remember to get more than a 6-count bag next time! If you won’t be able to get to the parks and still want to fulfill a beignet craving, you can head to Ralph Brannen’s Jazz Kitchen Express in Downtown Disney. Unfortunately you won’t be able to enjoy a Mint Julep, but those will taste that much sweeter next time you’re able to make it to Mint Julep Bar. Be sure to grab some beignets on your next Disney trip!
